About the Role and Team
At Uber, we're building world-class financial operations that enable our business to scale globally. As our Manager, OTC Billing, you'll play a critical role in leading our Manual Billing function while shaping the future of billing operations through automation, AI, and continuous improvement.
Based in our Hyderabad Center of Excellence, you'll lead a high-impact team responsible for delivering operational excellence across billing, invoice delivery, credit & rebill, and customer portal management. You'll partner closely with teams across Sales, Engineering, FinTech and Global Process Owners to solve complex challenges, improve processes, and build scalable solutions that support Uber's continued growth.

What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end Manual Billing process, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong financial controls.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for billing operations, supporting complex billing scenarios and driving best practices across the business.
- Partner with Sales, FinTech, Engineering and Global Process Owners to resolve operational issues and improve billing systems and processes.
- Own Credit & Rebill workflows and customer portal management, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
- Build and lead our Hyderabad Billing Center of Excellence, including managing external vendor performance and service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to simplify, standardise and optimise processes.
- Champion AI and automation by identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency through innovative solutions.
- Coach, develop and mentor team members while fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability and operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- 6–9 years' experience within Order-to-Cash (OTC), Billing or Financial Operations.
- Previous experience leading or managing teams within a Global Capability Centre (GCC), shared services, or similar operational environment.
- Strong understanding of billing operations, financial controls, audit requirements and risk management.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or relevant professional qualification.
- Experience with enterprise billing or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Lean, DMAIC or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and performance against KPIs and SLAs.
- Familiarity with Jira, Slack or similar workflow management tools.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging automation, AI or Agentic AI solutions to improve operational processes.
- Passion for leading change, building scalable operations and developing high-performing teams.
