About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and transformative UK Commercial Operations Lead to head the strategic and operational engine of our Delivery business in the UK, one of Uber’s most complex star markets.
This is a senior leadership role where you will not only lead local execution but also shape the broader organizational strategy, linking commercial execution directly to global company priorities. You will be responsible for defining the commercial mandate, driving large-scale transformation initiatives, and representing the Delivery Commercial Operations (DCO) function in senior regional strategic forums.
What You'll Do
- Architect the Vision: Define and lead the strategic mandate for the UK Sales Operations team; drive team transformation and coach a high-performing org to serve as expert advisors to the business.
- Architect Scalable Operations: Design and implement global-standard operational systems and tools that model long-term impact rather than just immediate scalability.
- Lead Strategic Execution: Oversee large-scale projects and regional strategic execution with minimal oversight, ensuring the UK market serves as a best-in-class model for EMEA.
- Anticipate Market Trends: Leverage complex data to anticipate future trends and inform critical business decisions that shift the market trajectory.
- Drive Regional Alignment: Act as a trusted advisor across regions and functions; resolve complex stakeholder conflicts and align disparate groups around org-wide priorities.
- Govern Strategic Rhythms: Set the standard for business governance; design systemic solutions for weekly/quarterly cadences that ensure executive-level clarity and accountability.
- Mentor & Lead: Build team capability by mentoring junior leaders and defining best practices for the Sales Operations job family across the mega-region.
What You'll Need
- Extensive Leadership Experience: 10+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Strategic Planning within a high-growth environment, with a proven record of leading large-scale transformation.
- Strategic Foresight: Demonstrated ability to shape organizational strategy and link execution to high-level company priorities.
- Expert Analytical Acumen: Advanced proficiency in leveraging data (SQL, Salesforce, Visualization) to anticipate systemic risks and design long-term enterprise-level solutions.
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills; recognized as a trusted advisor who can influence senior leadership and align global stakeholders.
- Complexity Management: Experience navigating highly complex operating models, fragmented workstreams, and deep partner dependencies.
- Values-Driven Leadership: A commitment to Uber’s values, with a focus on developing talent and cultivating a culture of high-bar performance and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Architectural Impact: UK commercial operations are recognized for architecting scalable processes that are adopted across other EMEA markets.
- Strategic Influence: You are sought out by GTM leadership to shape the future roadmap and commercial strategy for the UK and EMEA Delivery business.
- Transformative Growth: The UK market achieves significant advancements in sales productivity and efficiency through your systemic, data-driven solutions.
- Organizational Maturity: Business rhythms are not just consistent but are "action-oriented" and "transparent," leading to faster executive decision-making.
