About the Role
Are you ready to join one of Uber’s strategic priorities for growth? Direct is our fast-growing last-mile delivery solution for merchants with their own sales channels. The Regional Uber Direct team focuses on enabling 10+ markets in EMEA to grow the Direct business.
As a Strategy and Operations Manager for the EMEA region, you will be leading complex cross-functional projects that elevate operational performance and deliver a best-in-class experience for both merchants and couriers. You’ll leverage data to uncover opportunities, design and scale impactful strategies, and drive initiatives that deliver measurable results — collaborating closely with teams across Product, Local Operations, Courier Operations, Safety and Commercial.
What You Will Do / Bonus Points
- Drive operational excellence: Use data to monitor, understand, and improve performance across key operational metrics. Identify inefficiencies and build frameworks to optimise delivery processes
- Translate insights into action: Turn analytical findings into scalable strategies that drive tangible business outcomes
- Shape product and process improvements: Partner with Product, Engineering, and EMEA Ops teams to test, iterate, and roll out new features and processes that solve real merchant and courier pain points, improve efficiency and unit economics at scale
- Collaborate across teams: Align stakeholders across Local Ops, Legal, Safety, and Commercial teams to execute initiatives that improve the end-to-end delivery experience
- Support commercial growth: Partner with commercial teams to enhance product-market fit across Food, Grocery, and Retail verticals. Identify merchant needs and co-create solutions to strengthen Uber Direct’s value proposition
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of experience in an analytical or operations-focused role (e.g. Data Analytics, Consulting, Tech Operations)
- Advanced SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing large, complex data sets
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into actionable strategies
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of driving initiatives end-to-end — from strategy to execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
Bonus Points
- Industry knowledge in on-demand delivery, logistics, or marketplace operations
- Experience leading large-scale cross-functional projects
