Sales at Uber is at the heart of what drives our business forward. You’re here because we see you've got the resilience and drive it takes to be successful at Uber. Consider this page your toolkit for acing your interviews, packed with insights and tips to help you shine. It’s time to show us how you’ll make your mark. Let’s get started!
We hire people who live our values, excel in our key competencies, and know how to deliver results. If you’ve got the skills, the passion, and a proven track record of success, you're already buckled up and ready for the ride of a lifetime.
We may ask you to complete an online assessment based on a set of specific competencies we look for in the role. This assessment is graded and serves as a decision point, so put your best foot forward!
Then, you'll interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team about the role and your experience. This is a strategic conversation about your background and skillset. Be sure to prepare your elevator pitch, know your numbers (quota, deal size, etc.), and why you want to work at Uber in this role.
Next up, you’ll meet with the Hiring Manager about your experience and skills, with a focus on a few job-related competencies*—plus you'll have the opportunity to ask detailed role-specific questions. *Role-dependent (your Recruiter will let you know what’s needed)
After that, you'll be given a task that represents potential role responsibilities. This will offer a realistic job preview and help us understand your functional knowledge and relevant competencies. *Role-dependent (your Recruiter will let you know what’s needed)
Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other members of the hiring team and cross-functional colleagues. During this stage, you’ll be assessed against a set of competencies that we’ll share with you in advance. If you completed a case study, you might be asked to do a presentation, or participate in a mock role-play. *Role-dependent (your Recruiter will let you know what’s needed)
Your Recruiter meets with your interview panel to review your performance against the role’s competencies and our values. The team works together to reach a decision, and your Recruiter will be in touch about the outcome. Fingers crossed!

Our values guide how we behave and make decisions, and hiring teams assess every candidate with our values in mind to answer the question: do you demonstrate the Uber values that will allow you to thrive and succeed in our environment? Make sure that you understand our values and prepare examples to show how you have used them in your prior experience to make decisions.
Example value questions:

We’re trip obsessed and want to make sure your candidate journey is a smooth, 5-star experience. To make sure there’s no bumps in the road, please keep your scheduled interview time. Rescheduling is limited, and alternative slots may not be guaranteed.
Think of your interview like an Uber trip — timing matters. Just like a last-minute cancellation can disrupt a ride, rescheduling impacts multiple schedules. Keeping your original time helps ensure a seamless experience for everyone.
