About the role and team

The Manager, Global Delivery Partnerships, Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) is responsible for the growth, performance, and long-term success of Uber’s partnerships in Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Head of Global Delivery Partnerships, this is a player-coach role combining direct account management for both brands in ANZ with management of three direct reports: a Franchise Account Manager (FAM), Customer Success Manager (CSM), and Account Coordinator (AC). The Manager serves as both the primary Account Manager for the partnerships and the lead of the ANZ pod.

You will personally own merchant relationships, account plans, commercial discussions, business reviews, and escalations, while setting priorities and coaching the team to deliver strong results. Working with ANZ leadership and the global delivery partnerships team, you will translate global brand priorities into practical local plans and bring ANZ merchant and market insights into the broader partnership.

The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between hands-on account management and people leadership: using data to identify growth opportunities, following through on day-to-day priorities, and helping each team member succeed.

What you’ll do

  • Own ANZ account strategy and business performance. Build and execute account plans for global delivery partnerships in Australia and New Zealand, delivering against growth, profitability, operational, and partnership objectives.
  • Lead and develop the three-person ANZ pod. Directly manage and coach the FAM, CSM, and AC, with clear responsibilities, priorities, regular feedback, and accountability for results. Coordinate franchisee engagement, customer success, and account support so the team works effectively across both brands.
  • Personally manage the global accounts. Act as the primary commercial relationship owner for both brands in ANZ, building trusted relationships with merchant decision-makers, leading business reviews and account planning, and owning follow-through on commitments and escalations.
  • Lead local commercial discussions and inform global negotiations. Develop ANZ proposals and recommendations using merchant priorities, market dynamics, competitive conditions, and account economics. Partner with the Global Brand Lead, Global Account Executives, Finance, and Legal on negotiations and approvals within agreed decision rights and market guardrails.
  • Drive day-to-day account execution. Work with the FAM, CSM, and AC to turn account plans and relevant global commitments into clear actions, owners, and timelines across Australia and New Zealand. Stay close to merchant needs and resolve issues that affect partnership performance.
  • Partner with ANZ leadership. Work closely with ANZ General Managers, Commercial leaders, Finance, Operations, and other market stakeholders to align on priorities, secure support, and execute within approved investment and commercial guardrails.
  • Mobilize Uber’s broader capabilities. Bring together Product, Operations, Marketing, Ads, Finance, Legal, Technology and other teams to solve merchant challenges, accelerate key initiatives, and unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Apply and share best practices. Bring relevant global brand learnings into ANZ account plans and share successful local commercial approaches, franchisee engagement practices, and operational improvements with the broader partners team.
  • Use data to manage performance. Maintain a clear view of account health, growth opportunities, and risks; track results against plans; and use regular merchant and team reviews to agree corrective actions and follow through.

Basic qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise account management, sales, business development, partnerships, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience directly managing and developing team members, including setting priorities, coaching, and providing performance feedback.
  • Proven track record of personally owning complex enterprise accounts and delivering measurable growth and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience managing senior merchant or customer relationships and influencing stakeholders across complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments characterized by ambiguity, complexity, and change.
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgment, with the ability to turn account performance data into clear priorities and executable plans.

Preferred qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise account management, strategic partnerships, sales, or business development, preferably within technology, marketplaces, restaurants, retail, or consumer-facing industries.
  • Experience managing enterprise or franchise partnerships in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Experience leading commercial negotiations and working with Finance, Legal, and global account teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt global partnership priorities to local merchant needs and market conditions.
  • Track record of influencing cross-functional organizations including Product, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and senior market leadership.
  • Ability to build credibility with senior merchant stakeholders while maintaining ownership of day-to-day account delivery.
  • Experience in a player-coach role, balancing direct account ownership with management of a small team.
