Marketplace Supply Operations Manager

About the role and team 

The Regional Operations Manager is a key member of the Earner & Marketplace team, responsible for driving the reliability and health of our ACAC Retail marketplace and managing the strategy and implementation of courier enablement and supply availability.

Your mission is to ensure customers reliably receive their orders while optimizing courier connectivity and marketplace profitability. This role blends ambiguous problem-solving, operational optimization, deep analytics, and stakeholder management. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, enjoy solving problems with data, and thrive in a high-velocity setting. You'll work cross-functionally with the ACAC Regional Marketplace, Product, Finance, and Data Science teams to grow the Uber Eats business in the region.

What you’ll do 

• Own courier incentives of the ACAC Retail marketplace: Create, test (A/B), and scale data-driven courier incentive programs, with clear success metrics (utilization, retention, cost per order) and safeguards against unintended effects.
• Optimize key marketplace metrics: Monitor supply/demand and matching metrics (acceptance rate, ETA, assignment rate), identify root causes of degradations, and design differentiated solutions by cause.
• Build data-driven insights: Analyze complex datasets (SQL) to drive key business decisions and aggregate insights that inform incentive structures and marketplace reliability strategies.
• Advise senior leadership: Define critical metrics, build dashboards, and present diagnoses and results to senior leadership clearly and concisely.
• Align cross-functionally: Align priorities with Product, Finance, Commercial and other regional teams, even without formal authority over them.
• Lead strategic projects: Manage complex projects under tight timelines, ensuring reliability and transparency while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications 

• 3+ years of professional experience in consulting, operations, strategy, analytics, or tech.
• Analytical excellence: Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets — you'll work with data daily (joins, aggregations, handling data biases).
• Problem-solving: Track record of structuring ambiguous problems (Fermi-style estimates, operational diagnostics) and arriving at practical solutions.
• Execution focus: Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with attention to detail, from design through post-launch measurement.
• Stakeholder management: Experience defending data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders and aligning teams with divergent priorities.
• Scrappy mindset: Comfortable rolling up your sleeves — from designing a geo-targeted incentive to running an in-person courier roundtable.
• Leadership without formal authority: Experience guiding or developing people who don't report directly to you.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Prior experience in two-sided marketplaces (delivery, rideshare, e-commerce).
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments (A/B testing) in marketplace contexts.
