Rate of Pay: $200,600 to $232,000 per Year

What you’ll do

Refine ambiguous questions and generate new hypotheses about the product through a deep understanding of data, our customers, and our business.
Design experiments and interpret the results to draw detailed and impactful conclusions that inform our decisions.
Define how our teams measure success by developing metrics in close partnership with cross functional partners and creating AI systems to understand metric movements.
Develop data-driven insights and work with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities to improve the long-term strategy and product roadmaps.
Collaborate with other Scientists and Engineers to build and improve data foundations.
Present findings to business and executive audiences.
May telecommute.

Basic Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires:
- Apply experimentation methods including time series evaluation, difference-in-difference, and synthetic control to translate raw data into insights for senior management.
- Python, R, and SQL for data extraction, cleaning, and the development of predictive machine learning models across internal and external data tools.
- Leverage external knowledge and statistical techniques to forecast industry trends and make data-driven decisions that impact company objectives and long-term strategy.
- Proactive foresight in roadmapping and managing high-risk data science programs, including identifying potential data crises or changes in metric movements.
- Apply project management frameworks (such as RAPID decision-making or Gantt charts) to ensure the technical integrity and timely delivery of complex data science projects.
- Utilize prioritization approaches, such as Return-on-Investment (ROI) and Break-Even Analysis, to determine which data models or features will provide the highest business value.
- Apply proven analytical frameworks (like SWOT analysis, benchmarking, and root-cause analysis) to interpret complex datasets and solve ambiguous business problems.
- Negotiate and oversee technical resource allocation and priorities among cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of scalable data products.
